Review: Beauty Pie Brazilian Lime Bodycare Gift Set

I’m a huge fan of Beauty Pie’s citrusy, standout fragrance so I got very excited when I saw that a Brazilian Lime body care gift set was being released for Christmas. I knew instantly that I would be buying this as a present for myself!! Though if you are buying this for someone else it comes beautifully presented:

Body Wash

The idea of being able to layer this unique scent, starting with body wash, was really appealing as the one drawback of the perfume is that it is not very long lasting. Washing in a creamy lather of the evocative fragrance is a decadent sensory experience. The skin is left clean and soft though unfortunately the fragrance doesn’t linger like some other scented body washes (shout out to Sol de Janerio Brazilian Foreplay Shower Gel). This also works great as bubble bath.

Body Lotion

After washing in the body wash the next step in the Brazilian Lime experience is to smooth on the body lotion. I was delighted to discover that this product is heavily fragranced. The rich lotion takes a while to sink in and is formulated with nourishing shea butter and vitamin E. Skin is left touchably soft (even the following day) and thankfully the scent lingers after absorption.

Perfume

The last item in the set is a refillable travel sized bottle of the eau de parfum (15ml). This is great for on the go. As the fragrance doesn’t have great longevity this handy way to top up is welcomed since I have the (un-handbag friendly) 100ml size.

This is sexy yet sophisticated scent is my everyday fragrance on days when I am not seeing my boyfriend as he isn’t a fan. I feel that the problem is with his nostrils rather than the scent as I get lots of compliments on this (I was even asked to place an order for a non-bp member!). Seriously though, I think it is the cedarwood that hits his nose wrong as he dislikes any of my perfumes that contain earthy notes.

MIDDLE – Fig Leaves, Rose Centifolia, Black Tea, Violet
BASE – Cedarwood, Amber, Musk, Cashmere woods

Final Thoughts:

I would highly recommend this gift set for fans of the cult fragrance. At £16.94 this set allows me to make every day luxe by using these three beauties on a regular basis. I just wish I’d bought more than one set!!
