Latest in Beauty: June Hot Right Now Edit

There’s only a couple days left to get your hands on a personalised Latest in Beauty June Hot Right Now Edit. This subscription service differs from the norm in that customers are able to select the products they receive from an extensive list (including many full sizes). Subscribers also choose how many products they want each month: 3 (£9), 6 (£15) or 9 (£18) in addition to the cute make up bag pictured above. I opted for six products and used the code J01NL03957 to receive £5 off my first box. Since delivery is free for subscribers the total cost of my goodies was only £10!! Here are my thoughts on the products I chose:

St.Tropez Self Tan Express Face Sheet Mask

IMG_3203St Tropez, the authority on sunnless tanning, have created the first ever self tanning sheet mask. The concept initially rang alarm bells in my head; I was imagining a huge colour contrast between my face and my eyelids, ears etc. However after removing the mask users are instructed to massage excess serum into the eye area, hairline etc and I have never had any such issues. I would recommend exfoliating before use as the result can get patchy your if skin has dry spots.

I love how you can control your depth of tan by leaving the mask on for between 5 and 15 minutes. 10 minutes is perfect for my fair skin (I found out the hard way that 15 minutes is too long for me!!).

This multitasking mask also has skincare benefits. As the tan develops over 8 hours I apply this at night but don’t feel like I’m neglecting my skincare as the serum is infused with hyaluronic acid. When I remove the mask skin has a dewy glow and by the morning a beautiful, natural looking tan has developed. The application ritual feels like a luxurious and pampering treat. To sum up; I love these novel tanning sheet masks. The retail value of individual an individual mask is £6.40.

Soaper Duper Fruity Green Tuberose Body Scrub

I’m a big fan of this green, clean brand and I love a good body scrub so was delighted to see this on the list of products to chose from. Soaper Doaper use plant-derived ingredients and skin-friendly preservatives with low ecological impact.

This scrub combines crushed coconut shell, skin-softening pineapple acid and hydrating aloe vera to leave skin super soft. This lathers up with rich shea butter suds which means that skin is not just smooth but also cleansed after use. I love a multitasking product and this gives a really effective cleanse and exfoliation whilst being gentle on the skin. The scent puts me in mind of mashed up bananas, although banana is nowhere on the ingredients list!! Soaper Doaper body scrubs sell individually for £9.50.

Tisserand Aromatherapy Sleep Better Pillow Mist 100mlIMG_8197

Unlike my very lucky boyfriend who has the super power of being able to fall asleep less than two seconds after his head hits the pillow, I sometimes need a little extra help. I therefore like to have a pillow mist on the beside table at all times. This one contains a pure essential oil blend of jasmine, sandalwood and lavender. Although the fragrance is relaxing it is a little too heavy on the sandalwood for my personal taste. I will therefore be sticking with my This Works Deep Sleep Spray. Sleep Better Pillow mist retails for £8.95.

Lipstick Queen Nothing But The Nudes Lipstick – Sweet as Honey

IMG_8041This is a gorgeous, creamy opaque lipstick. The shade Sweet as Honey is a versatile pinky IMG_8217nude which will work with many different make up looks. I expect to reach for this bullet a great deal. The comfortable formula contains natural oils, waxes and vitamin E which hydrate and nourish the lips. I was really impressed that my pout was still pigmented after my morning coffee (which I blend with coconut oil). Regular reapplication will be required throughout the day as however as this lipstick (like most creamy formulas) will not withstand a meal. RRP is £22.

BAO Hydrating Rose Mist

IMG_8201This spray can be used as a toner and facial mist. Ingredients include rose water, hyaluronic acid and aloe vera juice to plump and hydrate.

I feel like a lot of face mists don’t do much but this one is really hydrating. I love that it includes hyaluronic acid and the lovely rose scent isn’t too heavy. This miniature size is perfect for throwing in my bag to keep me cool and hydrated this summer. This mini bottle has a value of £7.50.

Vinoperfect Radiance Serum

Vinoperfect is one of my all time favourite serums (along with Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair), so was a must for my box. A best seller for Caudalie for a reason with a clinical study to back up claims that regular use corrects uneven pigmentation from acne scarring (of which I have lots) and or sun spots. This serum contains the brand’s trademark highly concentrated Viniculture ingredients to promote anti-ageing and provide hydration. This gives an immediate skin brightening effect and subtle glow on initial application. The light formula sinks into skin easily and layers well with other products. I don’t detect a scent from this beautiful serum that I would highly recommend for all. This mini tube has a £15 value.

The total value of my selections is £69.35 which is incredible value for the £10 I paid for the box. I wonder what the options for the July box will be….
