I’ve been wanting to try the luxury beauty box service Mintd for a while now. This month was the perfect time to take the plunge as the current Mintd x Sunday Riley box boasts a value totalling over £200!! The is box available by subscribing or as a one off purchase for just £90 + p&p!!
Sunday Riley skincare combine clinically proven ingredients with balancing botanicals. All products are scented with flower and plant extracts rather than artificial fragrances. Here are my thoughts on the contents of the box:
Ceramic Slip Cleanser
This gentle, foaming cleanser contains a blend of four plant-based soaps that leave my skin sparkling clean and soft to the touch. The inclusion of French clay and rice oil esters help guard against dehydration. Ceramic Slip’s silky smooth texture makes it an absolute pleasure to use. I don’t detect any fragrance in this product which although recommended for makeup removal, I prefer to use this as a second cleanse.
Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream
Tidal hydrates, smooths and fights all visible signs of ageing. This water based cream incorporates hyaluronic and tamarind acids to plump the skin and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Papaya enzymes gently exfoliate whilst alpha-arbutin refines and brightens. This multitasking cream also acts as a barrier against environmental hazards though it does not contain an spf. Application results in a beautiful dewy glow (I think it’s the glycerine which features high up in the ingredients list). Sunday Riley also recommended patting Tidal on top of makeup to seal in hydration and radiance. I was wrong to feel dubious about this; doing so did not disturb my foundation and gave a glowy, youthful effect. The herbal scent is not unpleasant. Long term claims are a reduction in the appearance of hyper-pigmentation and dark patches over time. A fantastic product.
Autocorrect Brightening and Depuffing Eye Contour Cream
I love that this eye cream has both immediate and long term effects. Light reflective particles give an instant brightening boost to my dark circles. Auto Correct also contains contains caffeine, horse chestnut, shea butter, watermelon extract and ginseng root to hydrate, energise and soothe the eye area and protect from oxidant damage. These actives also work to reduce the appearance of dark circles and puffiness. This can be applied morning and evening as well as intermittently during the day to revive fatigued eyes. Again I tried this out and my undereye make up was preserved as well as brightened and refreshed.
C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil
C.E.O. Glow Vitamin C + Turmeric Face Oil is formulated with a blend of antioxidant-rich botanicals along with a stable form of vitamin C that gives a healthy-looking glow while protecting the skin from free radical damage. Golden turmeric oil works to enhance the skin’s natural radiance and create a more uniform tone whilst evening primrose oil soothes any irritation. C.E.O. can be blended with other facial products and is hands down the silkiest facial oil I’ve ever used. Ginger and turmeric are the most detectable in the frangrances in the oil; the scent reminds me of a spicy herbal tea.
Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment
Last but not least, the jewel in Sunday Riley’s crown, Good Genes. This multitasker can be used as moisturiser and a mask to gently exfoliate, refine and clarify the skin. This is reformulated glycolic version was created to comply with European regulations and along with Glycolic acid molecules contains lactic acid, prickly pear extract and purifying lemongrass. These active ingredients sink into the skin and remove debris while minimising the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The treatment also helps to repair sun-damaged skin and boost radiance. Many users report a preference for this over the original lactic acid heavy version. I am obsessed with applying this in a morning for the instant glow it gives my skin. Good Genes is a winner which I see myself repurchasing.
Final thoughts:
I discovered several new hero skincare products in this box which I feel offers exceptional value. Did you get a box? If so what did you think?
