Brand Focus: Sol de Janerio

I finally got round to trying some products from the buzzed about range. Here are my thoughts:

Brazilian Bum Bum Cream

I feel like this stuff became an overnight sensation. The caffeine rich cream can be used all over the body for firmer skin. Bum bum cream takes a lot of rubbing in which is probably a good thing as vigorous massage is recommended to create heat for better absorption. Coconut and açaí oils as well as cupuaçu butter provide moisture whilst the subtle shimmer provides an immediate radiant glow. Making this part of your body care ritual is a calorie free way to satisty a sweet tooth which will leave you smelling like dessert with notes of almond, pistachio and salted caramel. I love the heavenly scent of this cream.

Açaí Body Power Cream

Less famous than the bum bum cream, the other body cream from the range range is also really nice. I love açaí smoothie bowls so why not benefit from the putting the antioxidant rich superfood on the outside of my body too! Like the bum bum cream Cupuaçu butter, açaí and coconut oils nourish the skin while mica gives a radiant sheen. Again this takes some rubbing in. This rich cream smells really fresh rather than sweet like bum bum.

Brazilian Crush Frangranced Body Mist

Capitalising on the popularity of the bum bum cream’s scent, the frangrance mist replicates this and is recommended for use on the hair, body and lingerie. I also like to spritz it onto my bedding. The spray can be layered with the shower gel and bum bum cream to smell edible for longer.

Brazilian Foreplay Shower Gel-Cream

When I saw Tati Westbrook state that this was the only shower gel she will use I became intrigued. Tati favours this due to it’s moisturing properties. This rich gel has the same bum bum cream scent and leaves skin moisturised and delicately frangranced. I use this shower cream when I’m getting ready in a hurry and don’t have the time to apply body lotion. Sol de Janerio devotes use this in conjunction with the bum bum cream and spray for the full Sol de Janerio experience.
